When traveling with a family, plan ahead, do your research, always be flexible, and don’t try to do too much. With kids, less is more. It makes for happy kids and creating treasured family memories.
Family Road Trip Time
For many people, their earliest memories of national parks involve family road trips and vacations. No matter your experience with the parks, how old you are, or where you come from, national parks and family go hand-in-hand, and there are endless ways for families of all kinds to “find their parks” together, as you’ll discover on this family page.
While visiting the parks with children is a lot different than an all adult trip, the experiences, memories, and chance to take in national parks through a child’s eyes are immeasurable. It can be intimidating to plan a family trip to a national park, but I look forward to sharing many lessons learned.
